The ill-conceived WestConnex project has the obligation to improve walking and cycling in Sydney. Despite being the NSW Government’s biggest enabling infrastructure project, it will bring no material cycling outcomes. We’re calling on all Sydney riders (and walkers) to make a submission to the WestConnex EIS consultation to ensure that WestConnex delivers the M5 East Green Link – a walking and cycling link within the Wolli Creek Valley that would provide a cycling connection to the CBD and Airport from south-western Sydney.
